MUGNA Gallery proudly presents “States of Mind: A Dialogue Between the Inner Self and Multiple Realities,” an exhibition by Italian artist Viviana Riccelli. The exhibition, which is now open to the public, invites visitors to embark on a journey of self-discovery by exploring the various states of mind depicted in Riccelli’s artwork.
Riccelli’s paintings depict the spirit of the local people, flora, birds, and fish in bright sunlight, based on her experiences on the mystical island of Siquijor. The large paintings are composed of repetitive lines that suggest movement and dynamism, as well as vibrant energy and overlapping translucent colors. Her small works resemble visual poems, inviting viewers to reflect quietly and find peace in the midst of our world’s contradictions.
