An Inventory of Losses: Reckoning with What is Left Behind
October 12, 2024—Not only was there a festive mood because of the Valencia town festival, but a unique kind of excitement stirred among the guests who came down to the gallery to attend the opening reception of “An Inventory of Losses,” a group show featuring New York-based Filipino artists Julio José Austria, Katrina Bello, and Pinky Ibarra Urmaza.
The artists mingled among the curious crowd, and when the artist walkthrough began, people were all ears as Austria and Bello shared their experiences of loss in their journey as Filipino-American artists.
We are endlessly grateful for the support as manifested in the evening’s attendance, as well as to the artists and all their hard work!
An Inventory of Losses runs until November 3, 2024.
