What a better way to close the year than with new exhibits!
Last 20 December 2025, visual artists Rey Labarento and Koki Lxx opened new exhibitions in the Main and Ilalom Spaces of Mugna Gallery. Highlighting his process, Labarento’s “Threadmarks” invites the viewer to be feel the threads in the painting — the backbone of each artwork. Meanwhile, Lxx’s “karon ugma pagka ugma” is a homecoming of sorts after his artist residency in Japan in 2025, where he discovered the meaning of the “pusô” or heart, in more ways than one.
