VALENCIA, Negros Oriental – Over 40 freshman architecture students from Foundation University recently embarked on an immersive exploration of art and architecture during an Artist Talk led by acclaimed artist David Loew on March 19, 2024.
The event focused on Loew’s solo exhibition, “Palimpsest: Memento Mori/Memento Vivere,” offering the attendees an opportunity to delve into its profound themes.
Under the expert guidance of host Sharon Rose Dadang Rafols, the Artist Talk kicked off with a discussion led by Loew himself. With a deep dive into his creative process and conceptual framework, Loew offered invaluable insights into the underlying themes of memory, mortality, and the relentless passage of time interwoven within his works.
After the engaging dialogue, students were granted the opportunity to immerse themselves in the diverse artworks showcased throughout the exhibition space.
David Loew’s “Palimpsest: Memento Mori/Memento Vivere” is his first solo exhibition featured in Mugna. It will conclude its run on March 24, 2024.
