Mugna Art Gallery successfully held the Opening Reception for “Pieces Align,” a solo exhibition featuring ten captivating artworks from Negros Oriental’s rising creative star, Jomir Tabudlong.
The exhibition’s most striking feature is the masterful fusion of classic and contemporary styles that Tabudlong effortlessly brings together in his pieces. Many of his works are inspired by art from the 16th and 18th centuries, yet they are executed with a modern flair, creating a sense of timelessness that captures the essence of Tabudlong’s artistic vision.
Jomir’s paintings are a testament to his talent and creativity. Each piece showcases intricate details that are truly remarkable and serve as a testament to the artist’s skill. The guests at the Opening Reception had the privilege of delving into the inspiration and meaning behind each painting, as Jomir personally guided the guests, providing insights into the backstory of each piece and his creative process.
The ambiance of the evening was further enhanced by the masterful blend of electronic and classical music, thanks to the collaboration between prolific musician budoyX and violinist Jonas Cimafranca Tinghil. The singular mix of classical and contemporary music complemented the exhibition’s overall vision, creating an immersive and unforgettable experience for all attendees.
Pieces Align is now open for public viewing at Mugna Art Gallery from Wednesdays through Sundays, 12 pm to 8 pm.
