We successfully concluded Catch A Moment: A Street Photography Photo Walk & Photo Contest, a community event organized in conjunction with Hersley-Ven Casero’s ongoing exhibition Onion Kids – Homecoming.
From among the photos captured by a group of talented photographers who joined us during the event, the following were chosen as winners:
1st Place: “Captive Freedom” by Ryly Dré Patrick Juan Pontino
2nd Place: “Nag Tagbo-anay” by Hannah Bella Ragay
3rd Place: “Hopeful Vendor” by Jhanet Tumali & “Smile” by Neil Ryan Saraña
The winning photos were selected by Hersley himself alongside visual artist Koki Lee and photographer, fashion filmmaker, and visual storyteller Carmen Del Prado.
The four images will be displayed along with Hersley’s “Paunay”, which the prolific artist-photographer captured in the Valencia Plaza Sunday Market, in an outdoor exhibition during the Chada Valencia celebration. Visitors can view this exhibition at the Valencia Plaza from May 7 to May 31.
