MUGNA Gallery hosted an artist talk with Viviana Riccelli, whose current solo exhibition “States of Mind: A Dialogue Between the Inner Self and Multiple Realities” is currently running at the gallery until March 26. The talk was moderated by Stephanie Frondoso, an art writer, curator, and artist. The talk focused on Riccelli’s artistic process, inspirations, and the themes explored in her exhibition.
Riccelli, an Italian artist based in Siquijor, is known for her abstract paintings that explore the relationship between the inner self and the outside world. Her current exhibition features a series of medium to large-scale canvases that are a visual representation of different emotional and mental states. The paintings are characterized by bold colors, dynamic brushstrokes, and intricate textures, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in the artist’s world.
During the talk, Riccelli discussed the different techniques and materials she used to create the paintings, as well as the personal experiences that inspired each piece. She also talked about the importance of introspection and self-reflection in the creative process, and how her art aims to spark a dialogue about the complex nature of human emotions.
Frondoso asked thought-provoking questions that allowed the audience to gain a deeper understanding of the artist’s work. She praised Riccelli’s ability to capture the nuances of the human experience through her paintings and commended her for her bold use of color and texture.
The event was well-attended, with art enthusiasts in attendance. Many of them took the opportunity to engage with Riccelli during the open forum
“States of Mind: A Dialogue Between the Inner Self and Multiple Realities” is a must-see for anyone interested in abstract art and the exploration of the human psyche. It is open to the public, free of admission, until March 26th at MUGNA Gallery.
