Local artists have teamed up to inspire children to explore the outdoors and engage in creativity. Members of the Dumaguete City Host Lions Club, the Fred Hollows Foundation through the Negros Oriental Provincial Eye Health Team, and MUGNA Gallery have collaborated to organize an event at Valencia Central Elementary School. The event involved working with the students to transform the school’s walkway into an outdoor gallery, using art to promote spending more time outside and less time on digital devices. The goal of the activity was to drive myopia away and inspire kids to use their imagination and creativity.
The event was a success, and the students were thrilled to be part of the outdoor gallery project, which allowed them to express themselves through art and enjoy the outdoors.
